Our Story

Most Recovery Products Are Designed by Marketing Teams.
RCVR Was Designed by Reading Papers.

N of 1 started with a simple frustration: why do recovery products have 20+ ingredients when the research keeps pointing to a handful?

Written by the N of 1 Science Team

Evidence-based recovery research backed by peer-reviewed studies.

Two Brothers. Too Many Questions.

We're Sam and Will. Brothers. We've been into fitness, health, and wellness our entire lives. Not as a trend. As a way of showing up as the best versions of ourselves.

We tried everything. The greens powders with 75 ingredients and proprietary blends. The sugar water with a fitness label. The recovery products that were really just marketing documents in a can. Some of them are publicly traded companies spending more on influencer deals than on research.

None of them fit the bill. We wanted something clean. Something that actually moved the needle. Something that let us live and fulfill our lives - not just check a supplement box.

So we did what we always do. We asked questions. A lot of them. We read hundreds of papers. And five ingredients kept showing up across dozens of independent studies: Taurine, Glycine, Magnesium Bisglycinate, L-Theanine, and Celtic Sea Salt.

Not 20 ingredients. Not 75. Five. Each with a real body of clinical evidence behind it. Each at the dose the research actually used - not a fraction of it sprinkled in for label decoration.

That's what went into the can. We built N of 1 so you can achieve your best version too.

The Philosophy - “N of 1”

The name comes from n-of-1 trials in clinical research. It's an experiment where you are your own control group. One subject. One protocol. Your own data.

That's the idea. Don't trust marketing claims. Don't take our word for it. Test what works for your body.

We publish our doses. We cite our sources. We link to every study we reference. Not because transparency is trendy, but because we want you to verify, not just believe.

This entire Science Hub exists so you can check our work.

What We Won't Do

No proprietary blends

Every dose is on the label. If we put it in the can, you know exactly how much.

No fairy dust dosing

If the research says 200mg, we put 200mg. Not 50mg so we can list it on the label and hope you don't notice.

No trend-chasing ingredients

We don't add an ingredient because it's popular on TikTok. We add it because the clinical evidence is strong across multiple independent studies.

No claims we can't cite

Every claim on this site links to a peer-reviewed study. If we can't cite it, we don't say it.

No discounting to compete

Clinical doses cost more than fairy dust. We'd rather make a product that works at a fair price than a cheap product that doesn't.

Sam & Will

Two brothers who ask too many questions. We built N of 1 because we couldn't find what we were looking for - and we looked hard.

The Science Hub content is written and reviewed by the N of 1 Science Team. Every ingredient page, comparison, and recovery guide is sourced from peer-reviewed research. We don't publish anything we can't cite.
